Nine from OCA become BCCI Level-1 umpires

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) accreditated nine State-panel umpires Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) as BCCI Level-1 umpires today. They are now eligible to Level-1 Umpires Refresher Course to be held after one year.

According to the results announced by the BCCI, the nine umpires qualified as BCCI Level-1 umpires after securing 80 and more marks in the examination, held on the last day of the three-day BCCI Level-1 Umpires Course here at OCA Conference Hall, Barabati Stadium from May 25 to 28, 2016. The programmed was conducted by senior umpires of BCCI, I Sivaram and Jagvir Singh.

Meanwhile, OCA U-19 team physio Satyajit Dash and trainer Jagat Ranjan Das have been selected to attend the BCCI Sports Science and Sports Medicine Orientation Workshop (SSSM1) to be conducted at National Cricket Academy, Bangalore from June 13 to 17, 2016. They will report at NCA, Bangalore on June 12.
